New York saw the COVID-19 pandemic go from bad to far worse this week, as the number of confirmed cases reached 44,635 with 519 related deaths. NY has tested over 138,376 people and continues to test at an exponentially higher rate than the rest of the country. With more positive tests come more hospitalizations. To date, 6,481 people are hospitalized, 1,583 of whom are in the ICU. On a lighter note, 2,045 patients have been discharged, an increase of 528 since yesterday.
