As of March 26, New York is responsible for about 25% of all the COVID-19 testing done nationwide; the highest rate in the country. To date, New York has tested over 122,000 people, resulting in 37,258 positive cases. The number of related deaths has now risen to 385. Some of those hospitalized are staying on ventilators upward of 20-30 days, much longer than non-COVID ventilator use. Currently, 5,327 people are hospitalized; 1,290 of whom are in the ICU. On a positive note, 1,517 have been discharged.
