New York testing for COVID-19 continues to be the most expansive in the country, producing increasing numbers of positive results and ramping up preparation for the “apex” in the coming weeks. To date, New York has tested more than 103,000 individuals, resulting in 30,811 positive cases and upward of 300 related deaths. Positive cases are continuing to double every few days. However, density reductions plans seem to be having a positive affect when looking at hospitalization rates, as they have been decreasing. Fifteen percent of those testing positive require hospitalization.
