Today the Governor announced a total of 149,316 COVID positive cases in New York, with newer models indicating a flattening of “the curve” as hospitalizations, ICU admissions, and intubations continue to decrease. Governor Cuomo attributes this improvement to social distancing measures and says continued adherence to these policies is vital to future progress. Cuomo reiterated his call to the Federal government to pass legislation to help stabilize state and local governments and repair the “immense damage” being done to the economy, poverty, housing and the healthcare system.
