For the first time on Sunday, Governor Cuomo announced a decrease in hospitalizations, ICU admissions and deaths related to COVID-19 with the caveat that it was too soon to determine statistical significance. Heeding the same warning today, he announced that COVID-related deaths have been “effectively flat” for the past two days. The State is working to determine whether or not we’re officially approaching the apex, and if we should expect to experience a plateau of case numbers or a decline.
