As of April 20, New York has 242,786 positive COVID cases with the death toll reaching 13,869.
As COVID-related hospitalization and intubation rates begin a steady decline, Governor Cuomo is urging New Yorkers to “reimagine” what we want society to be based on lessons learned from the pandemic. He highlights areas for improvement including public transportation, housing, public safety, and the workplace. Led by downstate local elected officials, the Reimagine NY Task Force will be charged with this initiative and will primarily focus on the NYC region. Governor Cuomo continues to lobby the Federal government for funding to help ease the burden that the COVID crisis has put on the state’s budget.
