As of April 17th, New York has 123,146 confirmed COVID cases and 11,477 related deaths. Governor Cuomo says he is feeling more confident about the State gaining some control of the virus, now that net changes in hospitalization, ICU, and intubation rates are undeniably on the decline. The number of new COVID cases remain at about 2,000 per day. Cuomo continues to heavily emphasize the importance of testing as the guidepost for safely reopening the state.
